Understanding the Effects of Menopause
Menopause &
Women’s health clinic
Welcome to
Time to Pause
Time to Pause is a private Menopause and Women’s health clinic founded by Dr. Rebecca Jacques. A GP with a specialist interest in Women’s Health and a British Menopause Society Accredited Specialist.
I can help you with…

Menopause Support and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
I offer expert care through the perimenopause and menopause, providing personalised HRT plans. I can discuss if HRT is right for you, if your current regime is working or even just an in-depth consultation about the pro’s and con’s and HRT. I address all symptoms, manage bleeding on HRT, can advise on progesterone intolerance and alternatives to HRT.

Surgical & Induced Menopause Care
Comprehensive care for women who experience surgical or treatment-induced menopause. I offer hormone therapy and symptom relief, helping you manage sudden hormonal changes and review your long-term wellbeing.

Premature Ovarian Insufficiency & Early Menopause
Specialised support for women under 40 facing premature ovarian insufficiency or early menopause. I focus on symptom relief and strategies to protect your long-term health and vitality.

Bone Health and Osteoporosis Management
Women are at risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis with a reduction in oestrogen. I can discuss your individual risks and discuss the management of ensuring strong, healthy bones throughout life’s stages.

Vaginal Health &
Bladder Care
Individualised care plans for vaginal dryness and bladder problems during menopause. Including the treatment of recurrent UTI’s and urinary frequency. Treatments include both hormonal and non-hormonal options to improve your comfort, confidence, and intimate health.

Contraception &
Coil Services
Comprehensive contraception advice during menopause. I offer implants and coils (Copper & hormonal) insertion and removal, providing personalised guidance on the best options for your specific needs.

Menopause After Cancer
If you are receiving treatment for breast cancer, or have had breast cancer in the past, the menopause can feel even more complicated. An individualised detailed approach is always taken and I am always happy to liaise with other specialists to ensure that your treatment is right for you.

Family History of Breast Cancer
It can be very daunting to have a family history of breast cancer or any cancer. I can help to explore your risk and discuss the best options for you.

Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health
Cardiovasular disease is the leading cause of death in women. Women’s cardiovascular risk increases after the menopause but women also have sex specific risk factors which are not incorporated into routine risk assessment tools. I offer a comprehensive assessment in my ‘Know your numbers clinic’.

PMS/PMDD
I can help you treat the cyclical mood changes of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) as well as other common symptoms. For some, they can be debilitating and extremely difficult to cope with. I can treat symptoms with HRT or contraception, as well as give holistic advice on lifestyle changes

Cervical Smears
Every day in the UK, there are 9 new cases of cervical cancer diagnosed. Early detection of cervical cancer significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery. I offer women the choice to have more frequent cervical screening or tests outside the NHS programme age range.
